Friendly staff. They only do English meals. Not a huge choice, various pies, choice of fish size. Because they only have a choice, which is English meals they are really good. You order them when you get to the till and get a number, then go to wait. It's a really good set up and well thought out I think. I can't have dairy so I just get sausage and chips, sometimes peas but I've found that a lot of the time they are hard, so if you don't mind them hard or are willing to take a chance like I do then it's fine. It's our go to chippy if we just want fish and chips, or me with just chips or sausage and chips! I'd definitely recommend it though, the chips are gorgeous and real chips. Well worth a visit. I think they only take cash which is worth considering before you go.

Went to Mr Chips tonight for the first time as did not want to go to our normal chippy in town as the flower show is on. How glad I am. Had 2 well done cod which were lovely and crispy when I got them home, alongside a carton of mushy peas. I will be using Mr Chips in future for our Friday night chippy tea. Highly recommended. A last note is that they only take cash.

Very tasty fish and chips. Had the small size but it was a nice thick piece of fish. Staff are friendly and whilst I was there they helped an elderly gentleman out as he was a regular but had forgotten his money to pay for the fish and chips. They put it on his tab, such a kind hearted gesture.
